Academy Recruit Head of HR for Sophos

Sophos is the world leader in integrated threat management and anti-virus solutions and has enjoyed rapid growth since its formation 20 years ago. When the business needed to recruit an experienced head of HR to help oversee this growth, Academy Group's Executive Recruitment division were retained to manage the campaign.

Academy used the opportunity to provide Sophos with a PR opportunity both in presenting a success story to the market place and in maintaining a professional profile with candidates The advertising campaign was based on both the HR Trade Press and relevant online sites. and produced a high level of initial response. Candidates were notified of their application status at all stages. Following initial telephone screening, first interviews were conducted by Academy and were both structured and competency based. Psychometric assessment tools supported these. Full notes and other evidence were presented to Sophos. This process ensured that candidates submitted for final interview were highly relevant.
The successful candidate is now helping Sophos to meet their ambitious growth targets.
