A premier reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor requested coaching support for some of its leaders following a merger.
The challenge was to ensure that they:
- aligned their capability with the corporate strategy and business objectives
- continued to achieve their goals by the way they managed within the business
- successfully managed the process of change with their teams
- continued to motivate their teams and aligned them to revised business processes and strategies.
One to one coaching was provided to some of the leaders with the objective of supporting them to prioritise activities in alignment with the transition phase of the merger. For some individuals it was about helping them to come to terms with the prospect of redundancy and for others it was about supporting them through survivor syndrome at a time when it was crucial that they stay focused and able to perform well within the revised structure. Helping them to identify their stressors and develop strategies for managing them was key and crucial to their success.
