CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading children's cancer charity and was formed in 2005 after a successful merger between CLIC and Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
Their combined activities have expanded dramatically and they now employ 200+ staff, over 900 volunteers and 100 CLIC funded clinical and support staff working within NHS trusts, The Academy involvement began when the CLIC organisation recognised the need to develop an HR framework to manage its activities into the future. Academy audited existing processes in order to help the organisation focus on priorities . Following the successful implementation of these, Academy have managed other key HR projects. To date these have included the recruitment of a new Head of Fundraising and more recently the recruitment of a Full time HR Manager who will oversee their people related needs into the future.
