Sickness Absence - a practical workshop for HR-Breakfast Seminar 17th Nov

Sickness absence and its impact on the workplace is rarely out of the news. The 2011 Absence Management report just published by the CIPD found that, for the first time, stress is the number one cause. Whatever the reason, the sustained absence of vital members of the workforce can only be bad for business and creates additional workload for busy HR departments.

Whether you are concerned about the effects of absence on productivity and staff morale or if you want a greater understanding of how to manage your own live cases - our free to attend breakfast talk on Thursday November 17th is for you.

We will be joined by Bristol based Occupational Health specialist Dr Rick Taylor of Taylor-Mohrs Occupational Health. The breakfast session will focus on how to manage sickness absence and make the most of Occupational Health input.

Using practical examples Rick will provide the opportunity to discuss issues which have arisen in the workplace and there will be opportunities to raise your own questions. The aim is for you to be able to leave with a deeper appreciation of the topic and how to apply that knowledge to your own organisation.

The seminar will run between 8.30 am and 10 am at our offices in Clifton with light refreshments provided. To attend, please get in touch at info@academyhr.co.uk

13/02/11 : NLP training delivery goes online

Academy are currently developing an online delivered NLP practitioner programme. Whilst there are many NLP demonstrations on the internet there is a lack of structured content that follows the sylabus of an NLP Practitioner Programme. Our current practitioner programme already utilises an accelerated learning format but also demands 7 days in the classroom. As many organisations are increasing their commitment to an e training delivery format, the opportunity to develop an understanding of NLP as part of a planned learning programme will benefit those who are time challenged. Contact us for more details.
